VANCOUVER,
BC. - Destiny Media Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: DSNY) is pleased
to announce the formation of strategic alliances with two
key partners. SolutionsAmerica Inc. and ipingpong Inc., will
further develop Destiny's MPE™ secure media distribution system
into a complete end-to-end solution for the distribution,
purchase, tracking and database management of digital media.
SolutionsAmerica will provide the high volume, scalable, transaction-processing
backend for the MPE™ system while ipingpong will provide a
distribution network for trading MPE™ files.
MPE™ is
Destiny's patent pending, complete, and secure media distribution
system, with built-in e-commerce, digital rights management,
super distribution capabilities and multi media visual display,
including album cover art and artist information. It combines
a DRM solution with an e-commerce system and clearinghouse
function, wrapped up in a secure and accessible delivery system.
MPE™ files
do not require an external player or any other lengthy downloads
or installs, as each file contains an embedded media player.
MPE™ works on both PC and Mac platforms, and is a much richer
and more powerful marketing tool than any other secure distribution
system on the market today.
SolutionsAmerica,
based in Culver City, California, is an e-commerce value chain
syndicator and digital business process integrator, which
offers technological and operating solutions to e-commerce
challenges including, but not limited to, web enabling the
digital business process. This alliance allows Destiny to
provide their clients with SolutionsAmerica's scalable digital
rights and database management system and related processing
services. It provides SolutionsAmerica's clients with the
capability of secure digital content distribution through
Destiny's MPE™ wrapper technology. Both parties shall market
this platform to their respective client bases and target
markets and will share in the revenue generated. SolutionsAmerica
has also retained the right to resell other Destiny products
such as Clipstream™ and Videoclipstream™.
Steve
Vestergaard, Destiny's CEO, commented, "SolutionsAmerica has
built world class ecommerce solutions. This alliance helps
position MPE™ as a first class digital media distribution
system and helps us deliver large scale financial transaction
processing at a fraction of standard industry costs."
Destiny
and ipingpong, the New York-based online digital music delivery
application service provider, have formed a strategic alliance,
bolstering ipingpong's leading copyright-compliant, global
super-distribution network. ipingpong CEO Wanita Burnett and
Destiny CEO Steve Vestergaard announced today that ipingpong
has gained a worldwide license to integrate Destiny's secure,
tradable MPE™ files and their inherent digital rights management
(DRM) into its online digital music trading network. Through
this alliance, ipingpong will offer a complete and flexible,
secure DRM solution to its content partners. Destiny Media
Technology will jointly work with ipingpong to insure the
integrity of their secure music distribution services within
the ipingpong trading network.
"Efficient
digital rights management is the key to developing a viable
online music distribution network," said COO Kim Schinnerer.
"Our ability to deliver copyright-protected digital music
to end-users, coupled with our unique incentive-based business
model, encourages the super distribution of content on ipingpong's
peer-to-peer trading network. Integrating Destiny's suite
of DRM tools into ipingpong's platform provides us with a
key encryption option in the digital delivery and trading
application we provide to our customers."
