Clipstream® TV

A popular consumer hardware device, http://www.slingbox.com, set the precedent that it is legal for consumers to “place shift” a signal that they paid for to another location through a network. Although there are lots of sites that broadcast a live signal on the internet, they are signals someone else is broadcasting and you need to download and install software to access those signals.

Destiny has a working prototype for a system that emulates Slingbox functionality through software. The consumer would run our broadcast software on their home PC and if that PC is able to accept a television signal, it can be accessed from anywhere in the world via an ordinary browser without installing software. For example, the consumer could go onto a browser on a hotel TV in a remote city and access the local sports, news or possibly a movie channel they are subscribing to. Using only the browser, they can remotely change channels on their TV tuner at home.

With our new patent pending technique, the signal will be accessible on iPads and other devices that block common streaming technologies.

This broadcaster technology can be bundled with TV tuner cards, pre-installed on media computers before they are installed or it can be installed at the board level in surveillance cameras, internet enabled TV’s and set top boxes.

The signal doesn’t have to be TV and could come from a webcam or other video device used as an input to the computer.
